Yellowhammer makes bespoke, handmade, sculptural metal items for home and garden in coastal Suffolk.

John started his journey to what would become Yellowhammer in 2017, and has never looked back, saving, collecting, repairing, and making the tools he needed, and absorbing the principles and knowledge required to bring out the inspiration and help it to become a reality.

The name comes from a little bird we are blessed to have many of in this part of the world, the Yellowhammer. A bird of heathland and hedgerows which thrives locally. It has a brilliant bright yellow plumage contrasting with a rusty reddish-brown, almost as though it had been painted many years ago and developed a rusty patina in the elements.
